Topic: Chancellor’s Message

The Covid-19 pandemic gave us a tumultuous roller coaster of a year — full of lessons, loss and seemingly insurmountable challenges. But it gave us gifts as well and helped show the world that Horned Frogs are made of grit, intelligence and resilience.

Every day is an opportunity to learn from the past. As students, scholars and citizens of the world, we know history maintains a strong pull on the present.

Horned Frogs are changing the world for the better across all disciplines.

There was no playbook for the spring semester of 2020.

As the university prepares lifelong learners, we seek to continue that mission for new generations.

These words caught my eye recently: “What can you do with a liberal arts degree from AddRan? Anything.”

Students learn valuable life lessons when they bring their skills and energy to community projects.

The reimagined facility connects our past, our future and one another.

Last year Provost Nowell Donovan made the bittersweet announcement of his retirement this May. As provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs since 2004, Donovan is the senior member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet, responsible for academic leadership and policy.

You might have read or heard this popular story about failure. As a young man, Walt Disney was fired from a Missouri newspaper. An editor told him he “lacked creativity.”
