This is the fifth in a series of visits with regional TCU alumni chapters and clubs.

Denver has an energetic alumni leadership team in Claire O’Connor ’22, chapter president, and board members Hannah McDaniel ’22 and Adam McDaniel ’22 (MAc ’23). They’ve built event attendance through social media efforts and gatherings highlighting Colorado’s sunshine and mountains.

Rocky Mountain Frogs

In 2025, the Denver chapter revived its annual Ski Day. Thirty Horned Frogs traveled to Winter Park, Colorado, to hit the slopes in TCU swag. “We try to lean into what Colorado has to offer,” O’Connor said. 

Game On

More than 50 fans met at Stoney’s Bar & Grill in Denver to watch TCU beat Colorado in football in 2025. Parents of current students join alumni for game-watching parties at Stoney’s — and alumni who are vacationing in the area sometimes stop by, too. 

Hops & Hellos

Denver Beer Co., a craft brewery, hosts the chapter’s welcome event each August, when members greet alumni who are new to the area. “Denver is definitely known for breweries and beer,” O’Connor said. “We sat outside by the fires.” 

Summer Fun

The chapter’s most recent events included serving dinner at Denver Rescue Mission, which supports people experiencing homelessness, and gathering at Washington Park for outdoor activities — volleyball, spikeball and more — with alumni, friends and family.
