It offers 4,000 cubic feet of space, and Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Services Matt Lewis and his staff pack it full seven times a year (counting a bowl game). Since 2002, the TCU Football trailer has been the program’s mobile equipment facility, hauling pregame clothing, uniforms, helmets, pads, coaches apparel, sideline equipment, even Gatorade to road contests. They also bring backup gear in case the unexpected happens. TCU takes 70 players and a dozen coaches for Big 12 games, more for non-league matchups, and all their stuff has to fit in 20 to 30 storage trunks. Certified truck driver Randy Allen of Armstrong Relocation has been the Frogs’ man behind the wheel since 2005, and he gets it all to the team hotel by Thursday night for a Saturday game.
