Come On, Get Happy
What’s required for happiness? Is happiness the point of life? What is happiness? The five-part virtual course features discussions on four perspectives on happiness.
In June, TCU Extended Education offered “Come On, Get Happy,” a free online series for the entire university community. Three hundred participants signed up in less than a week.
The five-part virtual course featured hourlong discussions on four perspectives on happiness. The final session was an interactive panel discussion.
David Grebel, director of extended education, recruited four faculty members to each lead a weekly session. Their collective expertise included religion, psychology, economics and early childhood education.
“We’re in a time where stress levels are higher than most of us have ever personally experienced, so an opportunity to provide each other with some insight into human happiness, flourishing and meaning is an opportunity that a university can’t pass up,” Grebel said. “If we can give that gift to the community, then we’ve done a great thing.”
Video recordings of the five sessions will be streaming online through Zoom On-Demand using the links below. These links will expire on September 28, 2020. You may also share these links with friends and family members who are interested in the series.
