People who knew the head basketball coach best reflect on the tough workouts and memorable moments.

John Denton ’85 of the TCU Block T Association hosts a live panel about the exciting and amusing tenure of TCU’s legendary basketball coach Billy Tubbs. Panelists include the coach’s son Tommy Tubbs, players Corey Santee ’07 (MLA ’19) and Lee Nailon, as well as Jack Hesselbrock ’82 (MBA ’86), former senior associate athletics director who worked for TCU Athletics

from 1988 to 2018.

  1. Coach Tubbs was one of the nicest coaches during my time working in the Ticket Office. He was always cheerful and quick to spend a minute to say Hi. I enjoyed working with him. He kept his friendly comments lively & was always a pleasure to work with.
