Makeup exam
The semester final for students in THEA 11223 Stage Makeup: Make your face a masterpiece.
The 13 students in Theatre professor Brian Clinnin’s THEA 11223 Stage Makeup class were allowed 2.5 hours to transform themselves into a painted work of art. They were required to demonstrate blending techniques using stage makeup and prosthetics (wax, latex, or appliance), wigs and/or crepe wool facial hair. Clinnin photographed the students’ final creations and used Photoshop to combine elements of the original paintings with each student’s image. Here are some of the results, shown with “before” photos and the paintings the students chose to recreate.
