Exceptional historical article. Ms Jean did excellent research and her composite of the people and the times brought a painful Era of American history to life.
Kudos to her and the magazine for this retrospective.
I have visited Viet Nam and was struck by how accepting and friendly its people were. I’m afraid if I had experienced half of what they went through I would not be as gracious. As one who actively protested against the war I continue to believe in the power of demonstrations. Thank you for this summarizing story.
