On Stage: Concert Chorale
A song of social distance
The joy of singing developed dangerous implications during the pandemic. To protect one another, members of the audition-only Concert Chorale spread out during rehearsal. While Christopher Aspaas, director of choral activities and associate professor of music, conducted from the edge of the stage, juniors, from left, Tristen Smith and Josh Haupert and master’s of choral conducting student Nikolaos Myrogiannis-Koukos sang from the audience area in Ed Landreth Auditorium. Seats throughout the auditorium were marked with painter’s tape to indicate where students could stand to comply with the university’s Covid-19 protocol.
