Student musicians performed alongside professionals during the 40th anniversary of the TCU Jazz Festival at Ed Landreth Auditorium.

Music education majors Derek Hoel, left, and Brandon Barrett added smooth saxophone solos as members of the university’s Jazz Ensemble. The festival featured guest artist John Fedchock, a two-time Grammy-nominated arranger and jazz trombonist. The other guest of honor was former jazz band director Curtis “Curt” Wilson ’63 (’66 MM), who created the festival, which has attracted more than 20,000 musicians to TCU’s campus over four decades.
