With my Fulbright grant, I will be: With the Fulbright grant, I had planned to pursue bi-national business in Mexico, intern at a Mexican company and take graduate classes at a university near Mexico City. Instead, I am honoring a previous commitment to accept the Moritz Fellowship with Esperanza International, which helps children in poverty and does microfinance in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. I will help to facilitate the loan process doing financial analyst work for the organization.

I’m excited about this because: It is the perfect opportunity to gain some work experience in my field of study while at the same time experiencing a different culture, exploring another country and attaining my goal of fluency in the Spanish language.

TCU prepared me for this because: The rigorous academics of the Neeley School of Business and the John V. Roach Honors College prepared me to accept challenges rather than shy away from them. Additionally, the global aspect of TCU has allowed me to study abroad several times during my four years, which has prepared me to travel and embrace new countries and cultures. Finally, the emphasis on writing at this university prepared me to compose well-written, succinct essays to submit to the Fulbright commission.
