TCU Magazine Podcast: Scott Ruck
Scott Ruck’s electric boating company is following the logic behind Tesla.
Scott Ruck ’82 was refurbishing a mid-70’s classic speedboat when he decided he could convert the motor to the cleaner electric alternative. Recognizing the need for sustainable, practical and attractive recreational boats, Ruck launched Ruckmarine and now works to set a standard in boating that other countries around the world have already set. The entrepreneur’s forward-thinking eco-friendly boats are making a splash in the leisure market: Ruckmarine put the first electric boat on Lake Tahoe.
Ruck talks with host James Creange ’17 about how perseverance was key in his career and the advantages of electric motors.
