TCU was ranked in the top 100 in U.S. News & World Report 2011 Edition of Best Colleges and in the top 20 in U.S. News & World Report’s Up & Coming National Universities. The exclusive rankings are available online and in the September issue of U.S. News & World Report.
The university moved up 11 spots in the overall rankings to No. 99, up from No. 110 in 2009. This is the TCU’s first appearance in the Up & Coming National Universities list.
The 2011 Best Colleges feature the established rankings of the Best National Universities and Best National Liberal Arts Colleges, while also including rankings of A+ Schools for B Students, Great Schools at Great Prices, and Up-and-Coming Schools, among others.
TCU also was listed among the nation’s best in the large private school category of PARADE magazine rankings, which were tallied through a survey of 43 high school guidance counselors across the country.
“TCU has a very positive story to be told,” Chancellor Victor Boschini said in a statement. “Simply put: We offer a very high quality major university education in a newly revitalized and intellectually stimulating campus environment.”
