With my Fulbright grant, I will be: I am going to be teaching English in Macau as a teaching assistant.

I’m excited about this because: I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to many different countries in my life, but I have never been to an Asian country before, so the culture will be an entirely new experience for me. Also, I have always enjoyed interacting with other students, and I think having the opportunity to help teach an English class in Macau will be an amazing experience — one that I will really enjoy.

TCU prepared me for this because: TCU does a really great job at stressing the importance of becoming a global citizen. Even though it may seem like a bubble sometimes, the university motivates its students to reach outside the Fort Worth community and experience other cultures through meeting students from other countries or traveling abroad. During my TCU career, I have had the opportunity to go on three trips to three different countries, which fueled my passion for new countries and cultures.
