With my Fulbright grant, I will be: I’m going to Taiwan for an English Teaching Assistantship in August.
I’m excited about this because: This will give me an opportunity to experience the culture that my parents grew up in. My experiences being a mentor through campus leader and tutoring students have developed skills that I can put into practice in Taiwan. Ultimately, this will help me better understand cross-cultural differences. In the future, this will allow me to empathize with patients in my goal to become a physician.
TCU prepared me for this because: The organizations I have gotten involved in and the professors and friends I have encountered have supported me at TCU. The organizations, professors and friends have provided me with the individual attention I needed to grow as a person. I am so thankful that I have gotten the opportunity to go to TCU because of the way it has prepared me for my future.
