His pressure washing company yields the grand prize of a $5,000 scholarship and Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year.
Jarrin Lawton’s pressure washing company began one summer as a way of doing something nice — beautifying the grounds of Saint Nicholas Catholic Church. He only had one machine, but he knew he was on to something. By the next year, he took on clients at car dealerships, high school football stadiums and commercial businesses.
After 12 months, Lawton had enough business to expand to 13 employees and five pressure-washing machines.
In February, Lawton was recognized as the Neeley School of Business’ Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year and awarded the grand prize of a $5,000 scholarship. The scholarship doubles if Lawton attends TCU.
